When my wife and I started dating, I felt like I couldn’t spend a single day without seeing her. The fact that I worked in Santa Barbara while she moved back home to San Francisco made me that much more eager to leave work early on Friday. After just a few weeks of our long distance relationship, I gave in. I packed my bags, quit my job and moved back home to be with her. While I had a taste of how difficult a long distance relationship can be, I was not nearly as dedicated as Sandy and Vincent are to one another. There is something special about seeing two people who are completely committed to each other–it doesn’t matter if distance or time separates them, because time stands still when you are in love. I have always known the age old saying that “absence makes the heart grow fonder”, but after getting to know Sandy and Vincent I have learned that absence also brings out laughter, passion and most wonderful of all–happiness!
